Submission for the GMTK Game Jam 2024

Overview:

Each level contains two playable blocks, one block can scale horizontally and another one can scale vertically. You are the one who controls these two blocks. Can you guide them to the exit door?

Controls:

Shift - to select one of these two blocks.

Left / Right Arrow Keys - to move the selected block.

Space key - to jump (selected block).

P Key - to pause the game.

Up / Down Arrow Keys - Change the size of the block.  Depends upon the color of the block. If it is red, then increase/decrease the size horizontally. If it is blue, then increase/decrease the size vertically.

R  Key - If any problems in the level, then restart the level.

But NOTE: There is a number on each block that indicates the maximum number of scalings done by the block. Increasing the size of the selected block will reduce the number on that block. If it reaches 0, then u can't increase the size. Adjust the size of the block to a suitable size so that the other block can reach the end.

And also, pls time your jumps if u don't wanna die.

If both the blocks finish, then the game advances to the next level.

As of now, this game contains 10 levels.

Known Issues:

We worked so hard to make this game but still, it's kinda imperfect. I'm participating in game jams after 3 whole years and my friend is participating in this jam for the first time. These issues will ONLY be fixed after the rating period is over.

• When any side collision happens, it instead pushes the player forward.
• Players may jerk when in vertically moving platforms.
• When pressing shift key or if any playable block reaches the exit, it pushes the other playable block if standing on the edge.
• Weird artifacts but yeah (idk what's the cause of that, chances are rare).
